The second in this series of ultra thin sycamore platters. They came about when I wanted to demonstrate piercing at a local shopping centre with my club and I found that the smoke detectors were only about 10 feet above my head. As piercing with a high speed tool creates smoke, I had to produce a piece as thin as possible to reduce the chance of the sprinklers coming on! (They didn’t!)
